SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The Bearcats turned their attention to the GLVC Golf Championships in Smithville, Missouri on April 21st and 22nd. The 54-hole event was contested at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex for the second consecutive year.
McKendree finished the stroke play portion of the event in fourth place, qualifying for the medal play portion of the tournament for the third year in a row with a three round total of 896 (295-287-314). The Bearcats will take on the University of Indianapolis in the semifinals in the morning of April 23rd.
Thomas Tollefsen finished in tied for 4th with an even par 216 (71-71-74). Griffin St. Pierre tied for 15th with a 221 total (76-71-74). Aidan O'Keefe finished in the top 30 as well with a tied for 27th by shooting a 228 (74-71-83). Rasmus Nilsson shot a 232 (74-75-83) total for a tied for 37th finish. Phasin Vichitcharoenpaisarn rounded out the group of Bearcats with a tie for 49th finish by shooting a 243 (78-74-91).
Tollefsen was named All-GLVC for his top finish in the stroke play event.
