Stephens Reels in First at Final Qualifier on Kinkaid Lake

JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. - The Bearcat Anglers competed in their last Qualifer of the season on Kinkaid Lake this past weekend.

"Congratulations to Lane on a great day of fishing," added head coach Jon Rinderer. "Today's bite was extremely tough after yesterday's high winds and rain."

As a team, McKendree only boated 51 bass, and senior Lane Stephens managed to weigh in six of them. Stephens total weight was 17.07 pounds. Freshman Chase Logue took second with four bass four 13.48 pounds. Senior Jack Stephens placed third with three bass for 9.75 pounds. Junior Ethan Fields and graduate student Harmon Marien tied for fourth with three bass each for 9.68 pounds. Junior Connor Hall weighed three bass for 8.96 pounds finishing in fifth.
