Bloomington, Ill- Mckendree University men's track and field competed at the Jason Dennis Invite.

The 60m final saw sophomore Matthew Chandler and freshman Muthanna Yogendra place first and second with time of 6.99 and 7.05. A new personal best for Chandler.

Yogendra followed up his second in the 60 with another second place in the 200m with a time of 23.34

Junior Romello Byndloss took first place in the 400m in 50.55. Freshman Jevor Murray placed second with a time of 51.51.

Freshman Diego Paz Denis placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:58.10 (1:56.44#) which current ranks seventh in the GLVC. Freshman Austin Corey made his freshman debut with a time of 2:03.31 placing sixth.

The distance duo of junior Blake Westrater and graduate student Michael Hayeck took first and second place in the 5000m with time of 16:10.16 (15:59.88) and (16:24.31). A new personal best for Westrater.

The 60m hurdles saw freshman Kaleb Tucker place third, finishing in 8.96.

The 4x400m relay team of junior Dorian Foster, Tucker, and Murray took third place with a time of 3:38.98 (3:35.55).

Sophomore Jordan Tucker led the way on the field placing first in the triple jump with a personal mark of 13.42m (44' 0.5") placing him 12th in the GLVC.

Freshman Nicholas Pederson and sophomore Antonio Gonzalez both led the way in throws for the Bearcats. Gonzalez saw two personal bests in the weight throw and shotput with marks of 12.48m to (40'11.5') and 9.63m (30' 8.5") respectively.  Pederson saw a career best mark in the weight throw of 12.04m and (39'6").

The Bearcats are back on the track and field next Fri. and Sat. Jan. 31 and Feb.1 for the Principia Invitational.
