Bearcat Women's Golf Finishes as Runners-Up at Crabtree Invitational

Rungrojanaluk, Camps Pascual both finish in the Top 10

Owensboro, KY - The McKendree University Women's Golf team competed in the Bill Crabtree Invitational at The Pearl Club on Sunday and Monday, competing in a two-round event that featured tightly contested GLVC foes Maryville and Illinois-Springfield. The Bearcats posted rounds of 309 and 305 for a two-day total of 614 (+38). The showing marked the program's third straight finish of second place or better, finishing just three strokes behind Maryville, who won the team title at 611 (+35). Waritsara Rungrojanaluk (T-6th) and Alba Camps Pascual (T-8th) both finished inside of the Individual Top 10 as well.

WARITSARA RUNGROJANALUK | T-6TH PLACE | +7 / 151
Rungrojanaluk's opener saw her card a 42 outbound and a composed 36 coming home to keep McKendree in the mix early. She answered with a five-shot drop in round two, build on a 38 on the front nine and a sharp 35 on the back nine, one of the squad's under-par nines of the tournament. Across 36 holes, she played the inward half at -1 on day two and even on day one, turning the start into one of the team's best finishes by closing her final 27 holes in +1.

ALBA CAMPS PASCUAL | T-8TH PLACE | +8 / 152
Camps Pascual turned in a 75/77 with remarkably consistency splits on a course that punishes misses. Day one featured a 37 out and a 38 in to sit three over. Her second round tracked similarly at 38 out and 39 in, but she minimized large numbers and stayed in scoring shape by keeping both par-5s on the homeward nine to no worse than par. Over two days she played the front at +3 and the back at +5, a profile that underscores a tidy tee-to-green week that just needed a handful more conversion putts to trend under par.

CHIARA BORTOLOTTI DEL REINO | T-11TH PLACE | +11 / 155
Bortolotti del Reino authored a bounce-back card of 80-75, chopping five shots from Sunday to Monday. After an opener split perfectly 40/40 (both +4) across the 2,921-yard outward and the 2,913-yard inward sides, she attacked early in Round 2 with a 35 (-1) on the front, the team's low nine of the tournament, before closing it at 40 (+4). Her second-round surge was powered by clean par-3 management and solid par-5 positioning that removed the stress from short-game saves. Netting -1 through the first 10 holes on Day 2 flipped her trajectory and delivered one of McKendree's most impactful round-to-round improvements.

REAGAN MARTIN | 16TH PLACE | +14 / 158
Martin compiled 76-82 with a composed first day and a grinding second. She opened 37/39 for a six-over total through 18, leaning on fairway finds to limit damage on the 468-yard 14th and 508-yard 6th. Round 2 began with a 42 (+6) out, but she stabilized to 40 (+4) in, avoiding a blow-up on the demanding closing stretch (15-18) to protect the card. Over the 36, Martin was +7 on the outward nine and +7 on the inward, a balanced scoring print that reflects dependable course management with room to harvest a few more red-number looks on the par-5s.

CALE ALBERTINA | 23RD PLACE | +19 / 163
Albertina delivered 83-80 and trimmed three shots in round two. Her first go - 43 out / 40 in - was anchored by clean work on the par-3s after a rugged middle stretch. She answered Saturday with 41 front / 39 back, tightening dispersion off the tee and cashing more routine two-putt pars. Albertina's improvement showed most on the back nine, where she moved from +4 to +3, and on the longer holes, converting stress into manageable pars/bogeys rather than doubles. The trend line - +11 to +8 - points to a closing round that found rhythm and preserved momentum through 18.

REAGAN POTTS | 37TH PLACE | +35 / 179
Potts signed for 89-90, showing resilience late. Day one ran 43 out / 46 in. She regrouped on Monday to finish her final nine in 43 (+7) after a 47 (+11) front. Potts kept the scorecard functional by navigating the 165-yard 12th and 152-yard 16th without major mistakes the second day, and she tightened speed control to reduce the three-put risk on the Pearl Club's quick bentgrass greens. Her best side - 43 - came twice, framing a finish that trended the right direction and offers a clear pathway: convert a couple of mid-range looks and tame the opening trio of holes to unlock a sizeable swing.
