Georgetown, KY - The McKendree University Women's Golf team got their spring season going this past weekend over at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational at the Cherry Blossom Golf Club. The Bearcats played some really high-quality golf, as they and the host Cardinals had created a large gap over the rest of the field. McKendree led after the first round at +22, after the second round at +43, but lost a few strokes in the final round to drop just eight team strokes to the Cardinals and finish in second place. The Bearcats were all over the top of the leaderboard, with Waritsara Rungrojanaluk (2nd), Alba Camps Pascual (T-4th), Chiara Bortolotti del Reino (T-4th), and Cale Albertina (10th) were all inside of the Individual Top 10.

ROUND ONE RECAP
McKendree opened the tournament with a pair of 75s at the top of the lineup, setting the pace early in the event. 

Waritsara Rungrojanaluk turned in a 75 (+3), using a 37 on the back nine to edge her way into the team lead. Chiara Bortolotti del Reino matched that total with a 75, bouncing back with a 36 on the inward nine after a higher front. 

Alba Camps Pascual followed with a 78 (+6), highlighted by a 37 on the front nine, while Cale Albertina added an 82 (+10). Reagan Martin rounded out the team score at 85 (+13), and Reagan Potts posted a 73 (+21) competing as an individual.

ROUND TWO RECAP
Alba Camps Pascual joined the list of 75s on day two, with her +3 leading the way in round two. 

Camps Pascual put together a balanced scorecard with 37 on the front and 38 on the back, providing a key lift for the lineup. Waritsara Rungrojanaluk followed with a 77 (+5), trimming strokes on the back nine with a 37 after a challenging front. 

Chiara Bortolotti del Reino recorded a 78 (+6), while Reagan Martin showed improvement with a 79 (+7), powered by a 36 on the back nine. Cale Albertina added an 80 (+8), and Reagan Potts finished with a 90 (+18).

ROUND THREE RECAP
Waritsara Rungrojanaluk led McKendree in the final round, posting a 78 (+6) to close out the tournament. 

She delivered matching 39s on both nines, maintaining consistency from start to finish. Alba Camps Pascual and Chiara Bortolotti del Reino each followed with 79 (+7), with Camps Pascual putting together a 40 on the back nine and Bortolotti del Reino navigating a late stretch to finish her round. 

Reagan Martin carded an 85 (+13), while Cale Albertina finished at 86 (+14). Reagan Potts closed her tournament of individual play with a 96 (+24).
