INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Great Lakes Vallet Conference - McKendree University men's soccer continues its play in the postseason this week but before the league's semifinal round, the Bearcats see five players earn All-GLVC honors, as announced by the conference office this morning. The Bearcats' postseason honor collection is headlined by two second team selections in sophomore defender Philipp Muehlhans and sophomore forward Adam Reiniger while sophomore midfielder Henri Poll, sophomore goalkeeper Toby Lewis, and freshman defender Alonso Romero each got third team nods. The third-seeded Bearcats head across the metro to continue play in the GLVC Championship Tournament in the semifinal round on Thursday, November 13, at 7:00PM against #2 seed Lincoln (RV) at Creve Coeur Soccer Park. 

SECOND TEAM | Adam Reiniger | Sophomore | Forward
Reiniger tallies his second consecutive All-GLVC second team laurels with his nod to second team once again as the Maryville, Illinois-native led his team with six goals on the campaign. Reiniger bested his career goal and point mark already this season, mustering 13 points over 18 games while adding his first collegiate assist earlier this year and tallying his career-high for goals with six following Sunday's quarterfinal bout. The forward has come alive as of late, firing four goals over the last six games after scoring his first two of the season at Southwest Baptist on September 26. He has his game-winner career mark tied as the Bearcats head into the semifinal round with three, as he launched the decisive score over SBU, Illinois-Springfield, and on Sunday over Drury.

The award marks Reiniger's second as he earned second team as a true freshman in 2024. 

SECOND TEAM | Philipp Muehlhans | Sophomore | Defender
Muehlhans, a two-year starter now for the Bearcats, collects his second consecutive postseason award after earning first team in 2024. The Kraubath, Austria-native has helped lead a stingy Bearcat defense which owns a 0.67 goals allowed average while starting all 18 games and playing full-time in all but three. The defender, while not bolstering statistic offensively, has continued to lead a back line which boasts the fewest goals allowed in the conference action and the largest margin in GLVC play. Muehlhans now owns two All-GLVC selections in his two seasons with the Bearcats and will look to lead his team to another deep postseason run.
