LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree's women's volleyball team is set to wrap up the 2025 season with two home matches against the Hawks of Rockhurst and the Cardinals of William Jewell.
The Bearcats enter the weekend with a 5-20 record, 3-8 in conference. McKendree is holding the 12th spot in the conference standing going into the last weekend of the 2025 season, coming off a tough 0-3 loss to the number one seeded Missouri-St. Louis. Freshman setter Peyton Uptgraft is running the Bearcats' offense with 644 assists with senior outside hitter Destiny Gray being the go-to sitting at 258 kills on the season. Senior libero Ashlyn Berczynski is guiding the defensive efforts with 435 digs.
The Hawks are 19-8 overall, 10-1 in conference, and are sitting second in the conference rankings coming into the weekend. Rockhurst is on a three-game winning streak after taking down UIndy and Lewis this past weekend. The Hawks offense is run by junior setter Molly Trachta with 611 assists. Trachta is helped by junior setter Mary Kate Mulvaney who adds in 501 assists. Senior outside hitter Sarah Pyle is the leading offensive player for Rockhurst with 385 kills. Freshman defensive specialist/libero Katie Vargo and Pyle are the anchors for the Hawks' defensive with 365 and 338 digs, respectively.
William Jewell is heading into the weekend with a 4-21 record overall, 0-11 record in conference, sitting at 14th in the conference rankings. The Cardinals are nursing a six-game losing streak after going 0-2 this past weekend against Lewis and UIndy. William Jewell's offense is run by Graduate setter Reaghan Bible with 385 assists. Senior outside hitter Emma Lea Benney is the Cardinals leading offensive player with 208 kills. On the defensive end, sophomore defensive specialist Madison Roney leads the way with193 digs. Roney is followed by Bible who has 182 digs and senior defensive specialist Alexis Nunn and Benney who each have recorded 175 digs.
The Bearcats will take on the Hawks of Rockhurst University on 11/14 at 6:00 pm for their White Out match followed by the William Jewell Cardinals on 11/15 at 3:00 pm for their Senior Day celebration.
