No.2 Women's Wrestling Captures Two Titles, Places Nine at MoVal Open

MARSHALL, Mo. - No.2 McKendree University women's wrestling (6-0) collected two titles while placing nine individual wrestlers at the Missouri Valley Open this past weekend as 110 Gabriele Tedesco and 160 Savannah Gomez championed their respective brackets. The Bearcats added two runner-up finishes in 124 Shelby Moore and 180 Destiny Rodriguez while Gabriella Gomez rattled off nine-straight match wins to take third in the 124 bracket. McKendree gets a quick break over the Thanksgiving holiday before battling in its lone two home duals of the campaign, hosting Missouri Baptist and Lindenwood on Wedenesday, December 3 at 7:00PM and 8:00PM at the Bearcats' Hettenhausen Center for the Arts for the FIRST-EVER Women's Wrestling at The Hett event.
