INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree Men's Swimmer Jakub Rynkiewicz earns his first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Swimmer of the Week Award, the conference announced on Wednesday.  

Behind an amazing performance at the dual meet against division one competition in Missouri, Rynkiewicz claims his first career GLVC Swimmer of the Week Award.  

In Columbia, he was able to secure two wins in the 1000 and 500-yard freestyle events, having times of 9:13.39 and 4:28.69. Both times were good enough to achieve B-cut status in the events. He also had a 46.20 split in the 400-yard freestyle relay, which earned the group a fifth-place finish.  

This is the second straight week McKendree has taken the men's Swimmer of the Week Award as Vova Gavrysh took the award home last week.  

Up next, the team will be going back to Columbia for the Mizzou Invitational meet from November 20th through the 22nd.
