INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree men's indoor track and field opened their 2025-26 season with the 2nd annual Scott Fangman Invitational hosted by the University of Indianapolis.
Freshman Amari Officer placed fifth in the 60m finals with the time of 6.49.
Freshman Cincere Ruffin finished second in the 200 with a time of 22.57.
Sophomore Jevor Murray placed first in the 400 with a time of 50.36.
Freshman Adriano Brown finished the 800 with a time of 2:03.58 earning an eighth-place finish.
The one mile saw four Bearcats place in the top ten. Sophomore Diego Paz Denis placed third with a time of 4:28.28 followed by junior Keveroy Venson finishing seventh with a time of 4:32.86. Senior Caleb Klein placed ninth with a time of 4:39.04 and Blake Westrater placed tenth with a time of 4:39.24.
Two Bearcats placed in the top five for the 3000m. Freshman Elijah Baer placed fourth with a time of 10:19.28, and junior Ostin Habeck placed fifth with a time of 10:48.59.
In the 4 x 400 relay, two McKendree squads placed in the top ten. Squad A (Murray, Calvin Nolan, Officer, Venson) placed fourth with a time of 3:28.43. Squad B (George Safo, Paz, Brown, Ruffin) placed eighth with a time of 3:44.46.
Freshman Isaiah Ford tied for ninth in high jump with a mark 1.84m (6'0.5 ft).
Officer continued his placements with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.8m (22'3.75 ft).
Junior Jordan Tucker placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.49m (44'3.25 ft).
In shot put, senior Matthew Wilson placed sixth with a mark of 14.29m (46'10.75 ft).
Up next, the Bearcats will compete in the Indiana Early Bird Meet hosted by the University of Indiana on Dec. 12th.
