INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University men's swimming saw a new school record in the 200-yard IM, and 3 podium finishes on day three of the NCAA DII National Championship.
Sophomore Christan Davidson opened the evening for the Bearcats in the 1000-yard freestyle with a personal best of 9:01.98, taking fifth place.
GLVC Freshman of the year Vova Gavrysh broke the school record in the preliminary round with a time of 1:46.98, and in the finals broke it again in 1:45.13. Gavrysh took fourth place in the nation.
The Bearcat relay of junior Patryk Rozenek, freshman Nojus Bertulis, senior Jackson Lustig, and junior Tyson Upton took fifth place in the 200-yard medley relay; finishing in 1:25.56.
The Bearcats jump back in the pool tomorrow for the 100-yard fly, 200-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay.
