INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University men's indoor track and field conlcuded their indoor track campaign at the GLVC Championship taking 10th place.
Freshman Keirson Wicks dominated the high jump, winning his first GLVC championship with a mark of 2.12m (6' 11.5"). This is a school record, new career best, and currently is tied for 12th in NCAA DII and awaits his fait competition at the National Championship.
Wicks placed first in all but one meet this season where he placed second, just shy of a school record.
Freshman Kaleb Tucker took fourth place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.45, and a personal best of 8.34 in the preliminary round.
Freshman Diego Paz Denis placed fifth in the 800m, running a new personal best of 1:56.07.
Closing out the day freshmen Jevor Murray, junior Goerge Safo, freshman Austin Corey, and Paz Denis took eight in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:28.87.
The Bearcats will await to see if Wicks will qualify for the national championship, and the rest of men's track and field team now look to outdoors as they take on the Missouri S&T invite on Fri-Sat March. 21-22.
