ROLLA, Mo. - McKendree University men's track and field opened up their 2025 outdoor campaign at the Miner Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri S&T.
Freshman Muthanna Yogendrea led the way in the 100m with a time of 11.12 placing 10th. Junior Dorian Foster ran a time of 11.53. The 200m saw Yogendrea and Foster run times of 22.73 and 22.85 as well.
The 400m saw sophomore and junior Matthew Chandler and David Richard run times of 49.44 and 49.61.
Freshman Diego Paz Denis ran a new personal best in the 800m of 1:55.45, placing second to continue his impressive freshman year campaign. Freshman Jevor Murray ran 1:59.95, and junior Roemello Byndoloss crossed the line in 2:00:00 taking 10th and 11th respectively.
The 1500m saw junior Blake Westrater throw down a career best time of 4:14.99, followed by graduate student Michael Hayeck in 4:40.30. Freshman Brenton Good closed his last with a blazing kick to see a personal best of 4:38.40.
Freshman Kaleb Tucker took third place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.08.
Junior Julian Juszczyk ran a new personal best in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 56.89.
Closing out the running events, Yogendrea, Tucker, junior George Safo, and Foster took seventh in the 4 x 100m relay in 43.13.
Over on the field, freshman Kierson Wicks continued his phenomenal freshman year taking first place and hitting an NCAA DII provisional standard qualifier for the national championship with a mark of 2.11m (6'11"). Fellow freshman Keagan Greff took third place with a leap of 1.93m (6'4").
Junior Austin Dunn placed sixth in the long jump and sophomore Jordan Tucker took ninth with jumps of 6.49m (21' 3.5") and 6.41m (21' 0.5").
The Bearcats return to action next Saturday at Indiana State University.
