Nicholas Blagojevic Finishes College Career with ISC National Runner-Up Honors

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The McKendree University men's bowling team was in the national spotlight April 14th through the 19th at the Intercollegiate Singles Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bearcats were represented by Nicholas Blagojevic in the ISC competition.

He qualified for bracket play with the 3rd highest pin total by shooting a 1,319 over the 6-game span. Game 5 of qualifying was his best game with a 256.

With qualifying as the third seed, the Graduate Student from Belleville, Ontario drew a bye to the second round. He squeaked by Nate Trentler by five pins (643-639). In the quarterfinals, Blagojevic bowling a 3-game total of 757 to defeat Connor Fleming by 176 pins.

With the quarterfinal win, he advanced to the TV show semifinals against Gael Egana. In the one game match, Blagojevic cruised into the championship finals with the 222 to 187 victory. The national championship match put him against Blake Walsh who qualified as the 13 seed in the bracket play. Walsh got the better of Blagojevich in the championship match 235 to 190.

Nicholas Blagojevic ends his career as a McKendree bowler with a national runner-up finish.
