PITTSBURGH, Pa. – McKendree Men's bowling took the top spot at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Sectional to secure a spot at the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) at AMF Mt. Lebanon Lanes.
The men's team bowled a total of 64 baker games over two days of competition. The baker games were split up into four game blocks with eight sets on both days. After the first day, the team was sitting fourth with a total pinfall of 6,369 pins. Four of the eight sets on the day were over 800 pins with two high sets of 847.
On the second day, the team kept up the momentum rolling four more sets with over 800 pins with the high set of the second day being 902.
This effort propelled them into first to win the tournament by 13 pins. Over 64 games, the team totaled 12,914 pins for an average of 201.7 per game.
Since the team was in the top four in the sectional, the team now moves to the USBC ITC to compete for a USBC National Title in Green Bay, Wisconsin from April 12th through the 18th.
