DECATUR, Ill. - McKendree University women's track and field closed out their 2025 regular season at the Friday Night Invite hosted by Millikin University.
The 100m saw sophomore Divine Favor Ozomma run a personal best in the 100m with a time of 12.59, followed by freshman Helena Rohde in 12.66, a personal best, and Rajae Saunders in 12.96. The trio placed second, third, and fifth respectively.
Ozomma and Rhode double backed in the 200m running times of 26.11 and 26.33 placing third and sixth.
Freshman Mickayla Sutherland ran a personal best in the 400m with a time of 55.59, hitting the NCAA Division II provisional standard for the national championship. Sutherland ran the third fastest time in school history, and fastest in 20 years since Rosemary Okafor ran 54.56 and 55.75 in the 2005 outdoor season. This is the fastest time in the 400m in the NCAA DII era in the for the Bearcats.
Sophomore Chloe Gough took home third place in the 800m with a time of 2:32.28.
Freshman Oaklie Layton placed second in the 5000m in 23:26.97.
Over on the field, freshman Shinell Jhagroo Bryan took first place in the long jump with a leap of 5.68m, followed by sophomore Paula Niubo in 5.45m.
Freshman Sofia Boscarolo took first place in the shot put with a mark of 11.11m.
This concludes the regular season for the Bearcats, and now look to the GLVC Championship that begins next Thursday, May 1st.
