INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Great Lakes Valley Conference - McKendree University women's soccer, which comes off its eighth-straight NCAA Division II National Tournament berth, was tabbed third with 162 points in the 2025 GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll, as voted on by the conference coaches and released by the league on Tuesday afternoon. The Bearcats made another GLVC Tournament final in 2024, knocking off UIS and Drury to battle into the championship contest, helping secure and continue the squad's national tournament berth and streak. McKendree enters the year under the direction of head coach
Tim Strange, who has led the program since 1999 while returning the last two recipients of the GLVC's Freshman of the Year honor in forward
Maddie Mauch (2024) and midfielder
Maggie Gleckler (2023). The regular season begins on September 4 for the Bearcats with a home bout against Alabama-Huntsville before hosting Saginaw Valley State on September 7.
