ADDISON, Ill. – McKendree Men's bowling competed in the tier one Kegal Collegiate Classic event. The team fell just short of cut after qualifying and ended up in 16th out of 68 teams and had a total pinfall of 8,127.
Individually, Nathan Bassford broke into the top 50 out of 437 total competitors. He averaged 212.2 through five traditional games, putting him in 48th. Zach Vanderpool averaged 223.8 in his four accredited games, which placed him in 174th individually. Finding himself in 221st was Dale Horstmann who also had four accredited games. He averaged 202.3 and had a high game of 236.
Xavier Newell started off hot firing a 279 game in the first game of the day. In his three accredited games he averaged 214.3 and ended in 285th. In 317th was Darren Zombro who averaged 182 in his three accredited games.
Brett Maciejewski, Trevor Pense and Bradon West had two accredited games each; they averaged 201, 183 and 177.5, respectively.
On Sunday, they rolled 3,050 through four baker game sets to end their time in Addison.
Next Up
The McKendree Men's Bowling team will be at going to Louisville, Kentucky for the Lynn Jordan Memorial and Thomas Burris Memorial. The tournament will take place at Kingpin Lanes on January 24th and 25th.
