Women’s Lacrosse Tied for 6th in GLVC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

Bearcats Will Begin Their Seventh Year in the Conference

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released its 2026 women's lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll, with McKendree being tied for 6th place with 17 points. 

No.6 Maryville University was picked to win the conference title with seven of the eight first-place votes for 47 points, as No.5 University of Indianapolis received the lone other top nod with 43 points. Rockhurst University and Missouri Western State University rounded out the top four placements with 37 and 31 points, respectively. Tethering the sixth spot with the Bearcats is their in-state foe, Quincy University. 

Head Coach Natalie Simpson is entering her fourth year at the helm of the program after going 5-12 last season. She is returning 16 players from last year's squad, as her roster consists of six upperclassmen to increase the experience in Lebanon.
