ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – McKendree's men's track and field team transitioned to the '26 outdoor season this past weekend at the Ouachita Baptist Invitational. The Bearcats had seven top three finishes in various events.
In the 100m, freshman
Amari Officer took sixth place with a time of 10.99.
Sophomore
Jevor Murray finished first in the 400m with a time of 47.64. Freshman
Adriano Brown and junior
Muthanna Yogendra also had top 10 finishes with Brown taking seventh with a time of 51.54 and Yogendra taking tenth with a time of 53.91.
The 800m saw two Bearcats finish in the top ten in junior
Keveroy Venson and junior
Nahuel Badia. Venson came out on top with a first place finish at 1:52.17, followed by Badia taking a eighth place finish with a time of 1:58.90.
Sophomore
Diego Paz Denis took second in the 1500m, finishing with a time of 4:01.83.
Officer finished second in long jump with a mark of 6.60m.
In shot put, freshman Cleon Sewell finished third with a mark of 14.41m. Sewell also took a second place finish in discus with a mark of 46.74m.
Freshman
Ruel Martin finished first in javelin with a mark of 49.05m.
UP NEXT: The Bearcats will compete at the Miner Invitational in Rolla, Mo. this weekend, Mar. 20-21.
