ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – McKendree's women's track and field team competed in the Ouachita Baptist Invitational to begin the 2026 outdoor season. The Bearcats saw five top three finished in various events.
Sophomore
Helena Rohde finished sixth in the 100m with a time of 12.91.
The 400m saw two Bearcats finish within the top five in sophomore Mickayla Sutherland and senior
Divine Favour Ozomma. Sutherland finished third with the time of 57.76, followed by Ozomma finishing fifth with the time of 58.32.
Freshman
Kamoy Cole took first place in the 100 hurdles with the time of 14.34.
The Bearcats' 4 x 100 relay squad, composed of Cole, Ozomma, Sutherland and sophomore
Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan, finished first with the time of 46.76. McKendree's 4 x 400 relay squad, composed of Ozomma, Rohde, Sutherland and freshman
Alaina Spence took second with the time of 3:53.80.
Jhagroo-Bryan finished second in long jump with the mark of 5.31m.
