INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree's men's track and field team completed the indoor season with the GLVC Championship at the UIndy Arc. The Bearcats earn a podium finish in the 4x400 relay.
In the 400m, sophomore
Jevor Murray placed eighth with a time of 49.78.
The 800m saw two Bearcats finish in the top eight, sophomore
Diego Paz Denis and
Keveroy Venson. Paz Denis placed fifth with a time of 1:53.64, followed by Venson with a time of 1:55.51.
McKendree earned a third place (bronze) finish in the 4x400 relay with a squad composed of Murray, Venson, Paz Denis, and freshman
Amari Officer. These Bearcats finished with a time of 3:19.70.
The Bearcats placed sixth in the medley relay with a time of 10:29.95. Paz Denis, Venson, freshman
Adriano Brown, and junior
Nahuel Badia made up this squad.
Freshman
Isaiah Ford tied for eighth in high jump with a mark of 1.93.
Officer was one of 13 men's track and field athletes to be named as a GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award Honorees.
UP NEXT: McKendree will transition to the outdoor season with a meet in Memphis, Tenn. at Rhodes College for the the Rhodes Invitational on Mar. 20-21.
