ROLLA, Mo. – McKendree's men's track and field competed in the 2026 Miners Invitational to continue the outdoor season. Seven Bearcats earned top five finishes in various events.
Freshman
Amari Officer grabbed a fourth place finish in the 100m with a time of 10.74.
In the 200m, freshman
Cincere Ruffin finished eighth with a time of 22.16.
The 400m saw junior
Nahuel Badia tie for seventh place with a time of 51.33.
Two Bearcats finished in the top 10 of the 800m. Sophomore
Diego Paz Denis finished second, just 0.05 seconds shy of first, with a time of 1:53.16. Freshman
Adriano Brown came in seventh place with a time of 2:00.40.
Junior
Keveroy Venson finished third in the 1500m with a time of 4:01.75.
The 5000m saw two Bearcats finish in the top 10 in senior
Blake Westrater and freshman
Reed Florey. Westrater earned fifth with a time of 16:38.71, followed by Florey in sixth with a time of 16:50.69.
Senior
Caleb Klein finished third in the 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 10:03.38.
McKendree's squad A earned a fourth place finish in the 4 x 400 relay with a time of 3:26.21. The squad was composed of Badia, Officer, senior
George Safo, and sophomore
Jevor Murray.
Freshman
Isaiah Ford finished fourth in high jump with a mark of 1.93. Freshman
Ruel Martin followed with a eighth place finish marking at 1.78.
Officer earned seventh in long jump with a mark of 6.60.
Senior
Matthew Wilson finished seventh in shot put with a mark of 14.47.
