ROLLA, Mo. – McKendree's women's track and field team continued the 2026 outdoor season at the Miners Invitational. The Bearcats earned five top three finishes in various events.
Making up the top two in the 400m was freshman
Alaina Spence and sophomore
Mickayla Sutherland. Spence grabbed first place with a time of 56.13, followed by Sutherland in second with a time of 56.44. Also finishing in the top 10 was junior
Adonya Taylor and senior
Divine Favour Ozomma. Taylor earned sixth with a time of 58.28, and Ozomma finished eighth with a time of 58.78.
In the 800m, freshman
Mariah Creamer finished second with a time of 2:24.32. Senior
Chloe Gough followed finishing sixth with a time of 2:33.12.
Senior
Sophia Paschal finished fifth in the 5000m with a time of 21:48.36.
Junior
Sara Belloso finished fifth in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:09.56.
In the 4 x 400 relay, McKendree grabbed first with a time of 3:46.20. Taylor, Ozomma, Spence, and Sutherland composed the squad.
Sophomore
Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan earned a third place finish in Long Jump with a mark of 5.56.
In Discus, junior
Sofia Boscarolo finished eighth with a mark of 35.57.
