SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – McKendree's women's outdoor track and field team took a trip across the river to compete in the Billiken Invitational hosted by Saint Louis University.
In the 200m, junior
Adonya Taylor and sophomore
Mickayla Sutherland placed in the top 10. Taylor finished fifth with a time of 25.49. Sutherland finished eighth with a time of 25.70.
Freshman
Alaina Spence finished first in the 400m with a time of 56.88.
Freshman
Kamoy Cole finished first in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.36.
In the 400 hurdles, junior
Sara Belloso finished fifth with a time of 1:09.02.
McKendree's squad A and B both finished in the top 10 of the 4x400 relay. Squad A, composed of junior
Iyanna Dear, Spence, Sutherland, and Taylor, finished second with a time of 3:56.93. Squad B, composed of Belloso, senior
Tori King, freshman
Mariah Creamer, and sophomore
Kennise Major, finished seventh with a time of 4:24.13.
In long jump, sophomore
Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan finished third with a mark of 5.44m.
Taylor finished first in triple jump with a mark of 11.42m.
UP NEXT: The Bearcats will be at Indiana State this weekend, Apr. 3-4, to compete in the Pacesetter Sports Invitational.
