Chattanooga, TN - The 14th-ranked McKendree University Softball team has settled in for their first night in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the NCAA Division II Women's College World Series, and before heads can be put to pillows, more recognition is coming in. Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators announced its 2026 Academic All-District honorees. The Bearcats were represented by Ellie Vetter, Sami Huck, Laynee Tapp, and Lauren Harris. 

The Academic All-District Softball teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Harris and Huck were selected to advance on as Finalists for Academic All-America. If selected, those honorees will be released on Tuesday, June 16th. 

The College Sports Communicators organization is made up of Athletic Communications professionals, primarily sports information directors, and those CSC members are the individuals who coordinate the nomination process for their respective institutions.
