(LEBANON, Ill., March 29)- The McKendree University women's tennis team reversed its latest setback to win two-straight matches. The Bearcats defeated Evangel University, 5-4, on March 25th, before defeating Concordia University (Neb.), 6-3, on March 26th.
The women's tennis team will travel to St. Louis, Mo., on March 30th for a match against Missouri Baptist University at 3 p.m.

Emily Cimarolli (Belleville, Ill./Althoff) and sophomore
Nathalia Oliveira (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Bahiense) earned McKendree's lone win in doubles play against Evangel University, only for the Bearcats to win 4-of-6 in singles action to earn the win. No. 2 sophomore
Giuliana Gonzalez (Lima, Peru/San Agustin) defeated Maria Martinez, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, while Oliveira earned a, 6-2, 6-1, victory over Anna Hoover at No. 3 singles. Cimarolli defeated Hannah Ball at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-2, and
Alexandria Peach (Wood River, Ill./Roxana) defeated Larissa Davidiuk. 6-1, 6-0, at No. 6 singles to earn the match victory.
The Bearcats picked up an early lead with two wins in doubles play.
Adriana Gonzalez (Lima, Peru/San Agustin) and G. Gonzalez defeated Colleen Freudenberg and Lindsea Vaudt at No. 1 doubles, 8-1, and Cimarolli and Oliveira defeated Sarah Ebert and Kim Francis at No. 2 doubles, 8-2. McKendree won its first four singles matches to earn the victory.
