Box Score (KIRKSVILLE, Mo., Oct. 20)- The McKendree University women's soccer team was defeated 4-1 at No. 20 Truman State University on Sunday.

The Bearcats fall to 5-5-5 overall and 3-4-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with the loss, and will begin a three-game homestand to close out the regular season on Friday, Oct. 25 against University of Missouri-St. Louis at 5 p.m.

The host Bulldogs took an early 2-0 lead with two goals in the opening 26 minutes of play, but McKendree cut the deficit in half, 2-1, after being fouled in the box and senior midfielder Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) converting the penalty kick try in the 39th minute.

Truman State put things out of reach with two goals in the second half to jump out to a 4-1 lead.

Senior goalkeeper Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) had two saves and fel to 3-4-3 overall with the loss.
