Box Score (KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 17)- The McKendree University women's soccer team was edged, 1-0, at Rockhurst University on Friday.

The Bearcats fall to 5-9 overall and 4-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will travel to Liberty, Mo., on Sunday, Oct. 19 to face William Jewell College at noon.

McKendree matched the Hawks offensively in regulation, but neither team was able to score to send the game to overtime. Rockhurst had two corner kick opportunities in OT and held a 2-1 shot advantage over the Bearcats in the extra time, and scored the game-winning goal in the 99th minute to end the contest.

Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Sassman (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) had seven saves in the loss and fell to 0-5 overall this season.
