Women's Tennis Clinches Spot In Conference Tournament, But Falls To Bellarmine 5-4

(BELLEVILLE, Ill., April 12)- The McKendree University women's tennis team dropped its final conference match of the season on Saturday to Bellarmine University, 5-4, but clinched a spot in next weekends Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament.

The Bearcats fell to 17-4 overall and 3-3 in the GLVC, and will host University of Central Oklahoma on Sunday, April 13 at 9:30 a.m., at Kings Point Sports Club in Belleville, Ill. McKendree also earned the No. 4 seed in the east division and will face the top seed from the west division, Drury University, at 12 p.m., on Friday, April 18 at the Tao Tennis Center on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis.
