(Lebanon, Ill., Nov. 10) – The McKendree University women's soccer team will begin its chase for its first NCAA National Championship as they enter the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats will face Davis & Elkins College on Friday at Legends Stadium in Quincy, Illinois at 1:00 p.m.

Tim Strange. "We're honored to be here and compete at the national level."
This is the Bearcats first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since transitioning to NCAA Division II in 2012.
McKendree is coming off a 2-1 overtime victory over Rockhurst University in which the Bearcats were crowned Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Champions. This is McKendree's first GLVC championship since joining the conference in 2012.
Scouting the Senators: Davis & Elkins enters Friday's match 10-9 overall. The Senators are fresh off a 2-1 victory over Ursuline College to capture the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) Championship. Katrina Giantsopoulos leads the Senators offense with 25 points, 12 goals, and one assist. This match marks the first meeting of McKendree and Davis & Elkins.
NCAA Tournament: The winner of the McKendree, Davis & Elkins match will move onto the second round of the NCAA tournament to play Truman State University on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Legends Stadium in Quincy, Illinois at noon.
