McKendree Women Achieve Multiple Personal Best Marks in Kansas & Indiana

(Lebanon, Ill., Feb. 11) --
The McKendree University women's track and field program took part in two meets over the weekend competing at the Third Annual Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas and the Indianapolis Team Invitational at the University of Indianapolis.

At Pittsburg State, four Bearcats turned in collegiate personal best times; senior Melissa Calcara in the 60m hurdles (8.92), freshman Mya Watson Blake in the 60m (8.01, she also placed fourth in the high jump open), freshman Kaylee Fann in the seeded 800m (tenth place, 2:16.30) and senior Jordyn Looman in the unseeded 400m (fifth place, 57.30).
Fann and Looman were joined by junior Quincy McSweeney and freshman TsiTsi Mahachi on the 4x400m relay team that finished in fifth position.

In Indianapolis, junior Mollie Bowman competed in the 400m, finishing ninth, the long jump, placing in eighth place, and the 60m, where she was seventh overall. Sophomore
Shelby Mourey jumped 1.60m, putting her in third place in the long jump, while senior Julia Sangster ran a personal best time of 9.49 in the 60m hurdles, where she finished in eighth position.

The Bearcats will next compete at the Illinois College Hilltop Invite in Jacksonville, Illinois this Friday.
