(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Feb. 15) – The McKendree University men's and women's track and field teams closed out a busy weekend in Indiana on Saturday afternoon at the UIndy Team Invitational hosted by the University of Indianapolis.
Azlynn Sherrod-Butler (East Moline, IL/United Township High School) reached a new personal best time in the 60H at 9.05, which moved her up to the fourth-place position in conference rankings.
Zach Llewellyn's (Alton, IL/Alton) 15.68m throw in shot put moved him up to the second-place position in conference rankings. The men's 4x400m relay team placed first and moved them up to the sixth-place position in conference rankings.
Laila Graham (Fairview Heights, IL/Belleville East) placed second in the triple jump for the first time in her career at 11.30m, which moved her up to the eighth-place position in conference rankings.
"It was a good preview meet for us, seeing the conference track," said head coach
Agne Eggerth. "I am pleased with the teams' efforts this weekend as we are coming away with a few Personal and Season bests."
