The McKendree University women's volleyball team will host its final two contests of the regular season and second matchup with both No.1 Lewis University and University of Illinois-Springfield. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Friday, Apr. 2, followed by 3:00 PM on Saturday, Apr. 3.
Nickie Sanlin's team is looking to bounce back from a two-game loss over the weekend with No.25 Southern Indiana (3-1) and University of Indianapolis (3-0). The Bearcats are heading into the final homestand with a 5-9 (5-9 in GLVC) overall record, and are 2-4 when competing in the Harry M. Statham Sports Center. The Bearcats are averaging 11.8 kills per set with a .142 hitting percentage, and leading their opponents with 1.7 service aces per set.

No.1 Lewis is 14-0 (14-0 in GLVC) heading into this final matchup. The Flyers extended their win-streak to 14 in the 3-0 win over University of Illinois-Springfield, Saturday afternoon. The Flyers matched their season-high .317 hitting percentage with 44 kills and only 12 errors. UIS is 3-13 (3-12 in GLVC) heading into this final matchup. The Prairie Stars could not pull the upset over No.1 Lewis Saturday night, and were defeated 3-0. The Prairie Stars were limited to a .028 hitting percentage and only allowed one service ace from the Flyers. In the previous meeting between McKendree and UIS on Feb. 5, the Prairie Stars earned their first win of the season in a 3-0 sweep, dominating in kills, blocks, and digs.
