The McKendree women's tennis team fell in its season opener to Drury University by a final score of 7-0 on Sunday afternoon. 

"The Drury Women's team is very tough. They controlled the match from the start and didn't let up." Said head coach René Vidal "We competed well but have lots of work to do to get where we want to be."

The Bearcats will look to bounce back when they next take the court on March 20^th when they travel to St. Louis to do battle with the University of Missouri, St. Louis on March 20^th.
