Men's Bowling Places 9th at Columbia 300 Western Shootout

JV Places 1st at Columbia 300 Western Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The McKendree men's bowling traveled to the Western Bowl this past weekend, October 14-15 to compete in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout for their season's second tournament.

McKendree's varsity team recorded 9,508 pins at the two-day event and placed ninth out of 32 teams. On Saturday's first day of action, the Bearcats were in seventh place after recording a total of 6,343 pins and then totaled 3,165 pins in Sunday's 16-Baker game format.

Purdue University took home the title as they recorded a two-day total of 9,895 pins. McKendree was one of twenty schools to record over 9,000 pins for the event.

In the junior varsity competition, McKendree claimed the title as they recorded 9,636 pins, including 3,399 in Baker play. The University of St. Francis claimed second with a total of 9,520 pins. 

The Bearcats will continue their season October 28-29 as they compete at the Lions Classic hosted by Lindenwood University in St.Charles, Mo.
