WAUWATOSA, Wis. - The McKendree men's bowling will open up its 2023-24 season at the Midwest Collegiate Championship this weekend, Oct. 7-8 at Bowlero Wawautosa.
This will be the 52nd annual tournament for the Midwest Collegiate Championship with 47 teams competing. In the tournament, the Bearcats will bowl six games on Saturday and 16 baker games on Sunday. After the baker matches on Sunday, the top eight teams based on total pinfall will be seeded into a bracket match, which will bowl a best-of-three match with winners advancing.
The Bearcats opened up their last season at the Midwest Collegiate Championship and placed fourth of 49 teams as well as recorded 9,731 pins. Returning senior
Nicholas Blagojevic placed 53rd individually, recording 1,245 pins and averaging 207.5 per game in six games last year at the Midwest Collegiate Championship.
The McKendree Bearcats ended their 2022-23 season at the USBC Sectionals where they placed sixth out of 20 teams. Returning senior
Connor Brink finished in the top 10 taking seventh place individually.
