LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball will host two more Great Lakes Valley Conference games for the 2023 season this coming weekend. The Bearcats face Quincy on Friday at 6 p.m. and Illinois-Springfield on Saturday at 3 p.m. Friday's game theme is 'Teacher Appreciation Day' and Saturday will serve as Senior Day for the McKendree volleyball program.  

The 11-12 Bearcats come off a 1-1 road performance as they swept Truman State on Friday night and fell to Upper Iowa in a tight five-set feud.  

The No.20 Hawks boast a 23-1 record, ranking them second overall in the GLVC. Most recently, Quincy hosted No.24 Rockhurst and William Jewell, defeating both teams 3-2 and 3-0 respectively. McKendree leads the all-time record against Quincy, 10-4.  

The Prairie Stars sport a 9-13 record as of Thursday afternoon. UIS will face No.3 Missouri-St. Louis before battling the Bearcats on Saturday. This will mark the second meeting between UIS and McKendree for the year; the Bearcats secured a 3-1 win over the Prairie Stars in mid-September.
