FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The McKendree men's bowling team competed this past weekend November 18-19, in the McKendree Match Games at St. Clair Bowl
The Bearcats men's varsity team placed fourth out of 27 teams knocking down a total of 9,062 pins, placing 38 pins behind Wisconsin-Whitewater. Wichita State University took home the championship title knocking down 9,520 pins.
On Saturday's opening day of action, the Bearcats played five traditional matches placing them in third knocking down 5,130 pins. On day two, McKendree played 20 games of baker. The Bearcats knocked down 719 pins in set one, 786 pins in set two, 849 pins in set three, and 760 pins in set four.
Senior
Nicholas Blagojevic led the way individually in the McKendree Match Games placing first out of 67 bowlers. Blagojevic knocked down a total of 1,117 pins averaging 235.4 pins a game. Senior
Connor Brink placed 12th overall knocking down a total of 1,047 pins.
The Bearcats return to action January 13-14 in Addison, Ill. to compete in the Kegel - ISBPIA Midwest Collegiate Classic.
