INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree men's swimming advanced four individuals and raced one relay in Wednesday's NCAA Division II Championship finals at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.  

In the preliminary races, sophomores Jackson Lustig and Alireza Yavari placed third and ninth respectively to advance to the finals of the 200 indiviudal medley. Lustig's preliminary time of 1:46.12 marked a new school record while Yavari's 1:47.42 time was a personal best. The two sophomores were the first in program history to qualify for the final round.  

In finals, Lustig placed seventh with a time of 1:46.88 whilei Yavari clocked a 1:47.95 for 12th place overall.  

Fifth-year senior Gregg Lichinsky and senior Caleb Law represented McKendree in the 50 freestyle, snagging sixth and 15th place respectively in prelims. For the finals, Lichinsky swam a new school record of 19.43 for sixth place as Law came in 13th with a 19.91 time.  

McKendree's 200 medley relay made the podium with a third-place finish and a time of 1:25.61, defeating their seed time by .25 seconds. The relay was comprised of sophomore Patryk Rozenek (backtroke), junior Filipe Pinheiro (breaststroke), Lustig (butterfly), and Law (freestyle).  

After the 200 medley relay completed Wednesday's events, the Bearcats sat in second place with a total score of 105.5, 16 points behind Indianapolis with a score of 121.5.
