Men's Bowling Places 7th at Kegel - ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic

ADDISON, Ill. - The McKendree men's bowling team competed this past weekend January 13-14, in the Kegel - ISPBA Midwest Collegiate Classic.

The Bearcats placed seventh overall out of 38 teams knocking down a total of 8,855 pins, placing 67 pins behind Northwestern Ohio. Mount Mercy University took home the championship title knocking down 9,460 pins.

On Saturday's opening day of action, the Bearcats played five traditional games placing them in seventh and knocking down 4,930 pins. On day two, McKendree played 20 games of Baker knocking down 3,925 pins keeping them in seventh to end the tournament.

The Bearcats had two men finish in the top 20 out of 263 bowlers at the tournament. Senior Nicholas Blagojevic led the way individually placing eighth knocking down 1,081 pins averaging 216.2 pins per game. Senior Kolby Bennett placed 20th knocking down 1,045 pins and averaging 209 pins per game.

The Bearcats return to action on January 20th in Louisville, Ky. to compete in the Lynn Jordan Memorial Tournament.
