Men's Bowling Finishes 6th in Columbia 300 Western Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The McKendree men's bowling team competed in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout this past weekend at the Western Bowl.

The Bearcats men's varsity team finished 6th out of 31 teams in their division, knocking down 9,683 pins. The men's junior varsity team finished 5th out of 18 teams, knocking down 8,325 pins.

McKendree had four Bearcats place in the top 35 for individual standings. Sophomore Nathan Bassford finished 11th, junior Darren Zombro finished 12th, graduate student Nicholas Blagojevic finished 26th, and freshman Xavier Newell finished 34th overall.

The Bearcats are back in action next weekend, Oct. 19-20 to compete in Mid-States in Wichita, Kansas.
