Women's Volleyball to Play at Missouri S&T, Maryville

LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball hits the road this weekend in a two-game conference outing against Missouri S&T and Maryville University. McKendree faces Missouri S&T on Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. followed by the match against Maryville on Saturday, October 26 at 3 p.m.

The Bearcats are coming off an undefeated weekend in the Midwest Region Crossover, and are currently 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. McKendree is currently ranked No. 8 in the GLVC and holds the No. 5 spot in service aces and the No. 6 spot in digs. Senior setter Amber Williams ranks sixth in assists in the conference, with 9.17 assists per set. Graduate student right side Colleen Preusser is ranked tenth in the conference for service aces with 0.39 service aces per set.

The Miners are currently ranked No. 10 in the GLVC with a 2-4 conference record. The last time the Miners and Bearcats matched up, the Miners slipped away with the victory. Senior outside hitter Alina Carrillo leads Missouri S&T with 3.75 kills per set and 3.18 digs per set.

The Saints hold the No. 6 spot in the GLVC rankings, with a 4-2 conference record. The last matchup between the Saints and the Bearcats resulted in a victory from the Saints. Maryville is ranked second in the conference for digs, with graduate student defensive specialist Taylor Hasbrook ranked third in digs with 5.64 per set.
