Women's Volleyball Set to Host Upper Iowa, Truman State

LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball is set to play two Great Lakes Valley Conference games at home this coming weekend. On Friday, the Bearcats will face Upper Iowa at 6 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. match on Saturday against Truman State.

McKendree holds a 7-13 overall record and is 2-5 in GLVC play. McKendree is ranked in the No. 6 spot for digs with 16.77 per set and service aces with 1.69 per set. In GLVC play, senior setter Amber William holds the No. 6 spot in assists with 9.15 per set. Freshman middle blocker Avery Guisinger ranks No.9 in blocks with 0.95 per set.

The Peacocks have a 10-11 overall record and are 2-5 in conference play. The Bearcats and Peacocks are tied for the No. 9 spot in the GLVC standings. The Peacocks are led by middle blocker Zoe Semelroth offensively, averaging 4.96 kills per set. Defensively, defensive specialist McKenna Diermeier averages 4.06 digs per set.

The Bulldogs are 5-17 overall and are currently 2-5 in GLVC play, ranked below McKendree. Truman State is led by outside hitter Michaela Goad offensively with 2.73 kills per set and setter Emma Baierl with 4.69 assists per set. Libero Addy Janssen leads the team in digs with 3.27 per set.
