LEBANON, Ill. - The McKendree University women's and men's tennis teams are set to play the opening round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament on Friday, May 3.  

McKendree women's tennis earned the No.3 East seed and will play the No.2 West seed Southwest Baptist at 12 pm. This will mark the Bearcats' fourth-straight appearance in the tournament and head into the postseason with an 8-10 overall record and a 3-2 conference record.  

No.20-ranked McKendree men's tennis acquired the No.2 East seed and will face the No.3 West Hawks of Rockhurst University at 9 am. The Bearcats are 16-3 overall and 4-1 in GLVC play for the season. The Hawks and Bearcats meet for the second time this season as McKendree came away with a 4-3 win in late March.
