INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree University Cross-Country teams saw Keveroy Venson and Sophia Paschal earn Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) runners of the week awards for their performance at the Greenville Classic.  

Venson placed third overall individually out of a field of 80 competitors. At the meet he ran a time of 26:45.4 setting a new personal record for him in the men's 8k event. His performance helped lead the team to its first meet win since 2016.  

Paschal placed eighth overall individually out of 70 competitors. She ran a time of 19:59.04 which also set a personal record for her in the women's 5k. Her performance helped get the team on the podium with a third-place team finish. This is her second career GLVC Runner of the Week Award, with the last one coming back in 2023. 

McKendree's Cross-Country team looks ahead to the GLVC championship meet this weekend on October 25th in Romeoville, Illinois.
