ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The McKendree Men's Cross-Country team placed 11th at the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) championship hosted by Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
Leading the team at the meet was Keveroy Venson with a time of 26:39.1, earning him 85th place. Coming in right after him was Reed Florey in 93rd ending the meet with a time of 26:48.7.
Coming in just outside the top 100 is Diego Paz Denis at 101st place with a time of 26:58.0. Behind him at 111th was Blake Westrater with a time of 27:23.2. Finishing out the scoring for the Bearcats is Elijah Baer earning 138th with a time of 29:07.2.
Finishing out the day was Ostin Habeck, Adriano Brown and Brenton Good. They finished on 145th, 152nd and 154th, respectively. Coming in with times of 29:38.8, 30:39.9, and 32:44.2, respectively.
Baer, Habeck, Venson, Paz Denis, and Florey all earned personal best times in the competition.
Westrater also received the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship award at the meet.
