LEBANON, Ill. – The McKendree Women's Swim and Dive came out victors over the University of Evansville with a score of 135-106 on Saturday October 4th at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
Jocelyn Zgola and Elena Argabright got the first wins for the Bearcats in the 1000-yard freestyle with times of 10:59.23 and 11:14.10, respectively. In the 200-yard freestyle Luiza Dias led the way with a time of 1:55.91.
Following that event, Helena Kurtz finished with a 58:68 in the 100-yard backstroke, with Logan Wilson following her with a time of 1:03.65 in the event. After her, Tumi Macdonell finished with a quick 24.37 in the 50-yard freestyle event.
In the 200-yard breaststroke, Beatriz Souza stopped with a time of 2:23.17 to finish first in the event. To finish the day Macdonell, Kurtz, Dias, and Zgola finished first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:36.12.
Next, McKendree will be traveling to Allendale, Michigan to compete in the GVSU Invite on October 10th and 11th.
