COLUMBIA, Mo. – The McKendree Women's Swim and Dive competed in a tri-meet against the University of Missouri and Vanderbilt University at the Mizzou Aquatic Center this past Saturday.
Elena Argabright started off the individual events with a new season best time in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:49.95.
Luiza Dias and Jocelyn Zgola earned sixth and seventh place finishes with new season best times in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 1:52.58 and 1:52.69 respectively.
In the 100-yard backstroke Helena Kurtz finished sixth with a season best time of 57.66. Following that event, Chiara Fuerst also had a season best time in the 100-yard breaststroke with 1:05.51.
Right behind her was Beatriz Souza who had a personal best time in the event of 1:05.51. Souza also had a personal best time in the 200-yard breaststroke coming in at 2:22.01.
Tumi Macdonell came in just outside of the top five in the 100-yard freestyle finishing sixth with a time of 52.78.
Zgola also swam a new season best in the 500-yard freestyle finishing with a time of 5:03.89, earning her fourth in the event.
Ending the day was Zgola, Dias, Kurtz and Macdonell in the 400-yard freestyle relay finishing fourth with a time of 3:31.25.
Next, McKendree will be going back to Columbia, Missouri for the Mizzou Invitational on November 20th through the 22nd. The competition will be held at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
