INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree Women's Swimmer Jocelyn Zgola took her first career Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Swimmer of the Week Award, the conference announced on Wednesday.
With her performance at the tri-meet against division one competition in Vanderbilt University and the University of Missouri, she grabbed her first career GLVC Swimmer of the Week award. This is the first time McKendree has taken the Women's Swimmer of the Week since Karley Sonnenberg on January 18th, 2022.
At the tri-meet, she earned NCAA B-cut times in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 1:52.69 and 5:03.89. These times were enough to secure her seventh in the 200-yard freestyle and fourth in the 500-yard freestyle.
She was also the lead off in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a 53.08 split where the group ended with a fourth-place finish.
Next, McKendree will be going back to Columbia for the Mizzou Invitational on November 20th through the 22nd.
